Title: any love for the Tweed BluezMeister
Post by: Mungo Park on January 31, 2020, 02:17:06 pm
I came across this thread from 2010 and was wondering if anybody has recently built this amp. I am wondering if over time it has fallen out of favor, or is a great amp that has fallen through the cracks of amp building.

It seems like a great amp to build if anybody has any comments about it or a more resent form of it, or if builders have moved on to something else.

My opinion for FWIW is that it's a great amp that's fallen thru the cracks. You can build one in a cab close to same size as a Tweed Deluxe 5E3 but have both a clean and OD channel. (however, you'd want to use a chassis larger then the 5E3 more like 20" x 6" x 2.5") So, it's a good "grab & go" small/med sized amp.

That link you referenced has some incredible sound clips of DaGeezer playing his. I think the clips are worth a listen IF you are seriously considering building one.

With respect, Tubenit

Tubenit, thanks for the reply. I did find another thread from Feb 2019.
I will start collecting the parts. The feb thread had info on the quality of parts which is good info.
I am a point to point builder.  I will keep in mind the chassis So it  fits your cab suggestions.
Thanks for taking the time to help me with this build.  Could be a pause while I collect the parts.  I will post my progress.
       Cheers Ron.

I have built 3 and currently have none. Because one of my friends would fall in love and con me into selling it. its a great amp with good sound. and tubenit and geezers clips really give you a good idea of what it can do.
