hey guys and gals,
I have been playing with electronic stuff in a very haphazard and occasional way for a long time. Since building my first Heathkit radio in the 70's with my dad, old (then) guitar amps in the early 80's (fender bassman transition piggy back I played for several years, and a VOX A10 SRT that never sounded right), to an instrumentation amplification class in my undergrad physics program, to repairing a couple of Kalamazoo Model Twos for use playing harp a couple years back. Along the way I learned to play a bit of harp, and some guitar, but no longer play bass.
The other day I stumbled across Rob Robinette's page and read through most of it and realized this as all the same stuff we did in the physics class but with tubes instead of transformers.
anyway, A buddy provided a couple of garage sale amps for me to play with so I will be working on them soon enough.
As mentioned: physics/math guy, professor for 25 ish years, love to go fishing and I own a small brewery in Michigan.
Cheers!
Jerry
(1) Bob as mentioned above is a allusion to an AA meeting where everyone introduces themselves and the rest respond back in unison. A sort of addiction call and response blues verse.

do you know a young guitarist named Megan from Mendon?
She and I jam now and then and have written a few songs together and she has a "tube guy" over that way. Might be you.
