Hey Folks,

I just joined the forum after years of tinkering with amps/pedals/guitars and have already learned a bunch of great stuff.  I think I fit into the hobbyist category, meaning that I'm not in a band and do most of my playing at home or with a handful of friends (at their homes).  I started building stuff about 10 years ago when my tone search lead me to a Klon pedal and I realized that there's no way I could afford one.  And, like many of you here, that's all it took...the affliction took over.

Recently, I've been rehabbing reissue Champion 600's.  I designed a smaller 5F1 board that I managed to shoehorn into the existing chassis, with tube rectification, 8" Weber speaker.  Huge thanks to Doug for having a great selection of the best amp building parts under one roof.  I'm looking forward to learning more & (hopefully) building a holy grail amp one day (rhymes with fumble).
