Title: Reverb Tank Switching
Post by: Toxophilite on May 30, 2020, 02:24:05 pm
Here's a geeky question.
I have a stereo vibro champ I built inside of a old stereo roberts reel to reel using the original cabinet. I installed a Ampeg stereo echo twin type transformer driver reverb and was using this short tank I have. The impedances are off but it gives a pretty convincing large hall sound. Not bright but spacious, good for somethings but not good for others.
I generally prefer a more splashy reverb ala fender so I order a long decay small tank with impedances that are a good match for the circuit. However it would be fun to have both sounds as this is my sit at home/recording etc. small amp. Both little tanks could fit. (stacked haha) Would it possible to have a switcher box with the appropriate 6 RCA plugs( 2 for each tank and 2 'from' the amp) and a double-ganged switch?

Anybody try this?
