Sebbes, sorry for not seeing this for a couple of weeks. I do my DIYLC on mac. What machine are you using and what version of the OS are you running?

I had the same problem. I tried all the fixes mentioned on the github site, without success. In the end I got it to work by downloading the non-specific distribution ZIP file diylc-4.7.0.zip (https://github.com/bancika/diy-layout-creator/releases/download/v4.7.0/diylc-4.7.0.zip), unzipping it on my desktop and then I launch the programme by double-clicking on the diylc.jar file. You will get a warning message not to open the program in this way. For me, the warning popup is mostly hidden behind the launch splash screen and won't focus to the front when I click it. All I do to get around this is to is click on the part of the message popup that is visible and then hit Return. DIYLC should then launch. Seems to be working fine for me.
The program is not optimised for Mac OS, so you may need to use the two finger click gesture on your trackpad to open the context menus, if Ctrl+click doesn't work.
For info, I'm using it on an ancient 2010 MBP pro with Sierra.

Had a lot of problems for months trying to get DIYLC to work properly on old MBP El Capitian without much luck. :BangHead:
Thanks to adew for coming up with a workaround! :worthy1:
