Title: Faceplate drawings
Post by: finkaudio on June 20, 2020, 07:31:55 am
Hi,

I'm planning to use a Twin Chassis for my next project, but it will be one channel with overdrive and other features, so I can use the chassis, but need a new faceplate/Backplate. Is there a library somewhere with drawings of the most common faceplates to start with, so I can use the holes (or not) and add my own printing and layout/logo?

Thanks for the help.

Best KH

I don't know of any available drawings. I draw up my own using CorelDraw, because that is what my trophy shop uses for their engraving software. You can find fonts that are close to Leo's, if that's what you want, or go wild. Get your chassis and carefully measure the layout of the holes front and back. Generally, I add about 0.02" to the diameter of the holes to allow for minor variances. The washer/nut easily covers the slightly larger hole. You can also add graphics or any clipart you might find...

...thanks. I'll make a drawing based on the chassis and the original faceplate and use this as the basic layout. Not sure, I still have a CoralDraw....long time ago :-)
