Title: First build layout advice - 5F1 in 80s Sidekick chassis

First-time builder, first post. My plan is to build a 5F1 in the cabinet and chassis of my mid-80s Fender Sidekick. I would like to leave the front panel looking like the old amp with the on/off switch, volume, and inputs working there. The attached layout is to scale for the 14" x 7-1/2" horizontal chassis, with bottom mounted tubes. I have some nagging doubts that building a 5F1 in such a big chassis will cause issues I have not anticipated. So questions...

1. Is this chassis too big and I need to go back to the drawing board?
2. Assuming the chassis is ok, should I space things out as in my diagram or should I push some things closer together?
3. Any other layout issues to consider?

Thanks for the help. Sorry for not using DIY Layout creator, I had already started in OmniGraffle before I discovered it.

I think your layout is fine. There are several major wiring errors though.

Hi Squierstrat,
there are some advantages if you solder the gridstoppers directly at the tube sockets. eg less danger of oscillations.
And I remembering that power earth should be soldered alone with one screw to the chassis for security issues.
Did you already start building it?
