Title: Reverb Tank mounted upside down
Post by: scstill on September 15, 2020, 09:00:05 pm
Back in 2010 there was an interesting reverb mod to a Silvertone 1484 (link below).
To find space the reverb tank was mounted upside down to the top of the head.

I am interested in a similar mod but the Accutronics, 8EB2C1B says to mount with the open side down.
Do you think there will be issues with function or sound when mounted it upside down?

The springs may rattle or bang against the metal chassis when mounted upside down. This may make undesirable sounds unless you are playing Riders On the Storm.  :icon_biggrin:

The Accutronics 8EB2C1A is the same tank but it's made to mount open side up.

Have you seen the 1484 circuit mod to support this tank?
