Title: Aloha from Hawaii!
Post by: Joe Garfield on October 05, 2020, 03:49:25 pm
Aloha!
I'm excited to be here! After a decade break I'm getting back into guitars. I'm also finally learning to build circuits which is something I've always wanted to do. I recently built two all-tube headphone amplifiers (P2P) as well as a couple of 808 clone pedals (PCB) and really enjoy it.

My thought at the moment is to build an AB763 (DR) head, then modding the 'normal' channel to be a little more aggressive and with a little more headroom. Right now I'm trying to decide between a kit and buying parts separately. I'm leaning toward a kit but it would be great to have a more compact chassis as space comes at a premium on the islands :)

Well it says to post something about myself, so: I'm just a guy with a lot of hobbies and a knack for fixing things. As with music, I'm usually better at the 'fixing things' part! I scuba dive and build/repair my own regulators, play golf and built my own clubs, play guitar and am building my own guitars, etc. At 30 I learned what a mechanical engineer was and figured that's what I should be doing, so I went back to school and became one.
