Title: 30w single channel ab763 with 6g15 verb circuit and bias vari trem
Post by: Jatchley on October 13, 2020, 06:00:35 pm
is it possible? and if you think so whats the best way to get there? what sections would i cut out of which circuits to make it all run as one amp circuit? would the reverb circuit be down stream or upstream? since the 6g15 is traditionally ran into the front end. also can i safely implement vari bias trem on 6L6GCs running at 30w? i've built over a dozen various fender amps but have never seen all of what i desire in one box. which trafos would you reccomend? going for cleaner headroom but not diode rect stiff. so im guessing gz34.

This one looks more like 6G15:

woww completely spaced out on the vibroking even existing. yes kinda like this but 25-30ish watts with the ab763 clean headroom vibe. but yes with the big 6g15 verb circuit instead of the classic ab763 verb circuit. and a friend told me to look for tremonator for the trem section. i'm building a head but with 2x10 in mind. going for a kind of single channel 25-30w super reverb lite with a fleshed out verb. if i can do vari bias trem id prefer it because i just love the way the trem ducks out for the attack of the note and smoothly comes through on the sustain. (at least thats how it is on my 6g2. i played a deluxe reverb for a bit and it could not stay clean for as loud as i need. so im looking more at the vibrolux or bandmaster OT but 40w ot seems a bit much since im aiming for 25-30.
