Post by: Leevi on October 19, 2020, 07:13:27 am
Any idea what is causing this noise. The amp is 5E3.

Is this a startup on a new build or is this a problem that just showed up in an amp that has been previously without problems?

It is a 5E3 clone without mods. Unfortunately I cannot do any troubleshooting since the amp is not yet at my place. No problems before and this issue exists after the amp has warmed up.

Yes, one reason might be that 50Hz heater pin is in contact with plate.
