Title: Tube Depot has wrong reverb driver batch
Post by: Jatchley on November 19, 2020, 03:24:20 pm
Hey idk if this is the right section but the entire batch of reverb drivers from tube depot are wrong. Just found out the hard way. Online it says standard 25k:8ohm but the one they sent was 14.5k to 4ohm. It’s the only reverb driver they have available. They might issue a notice soon about it. But beware of that fellow builders. I was just on the phone and the guy said every trafo in the box is like that right now and they didn’t know but now they do.

I don't see any issue. It's just numbers. They're both very close to being the same.

25K:8 = 3125 and 14.5K:4 = 3625. Either will work just fine.

That’s good to know. I Almost just spent another 20$. I didn’t bother to do the math to see if it’d work. Just knew the specs were off from what I ordered and wanted to save some people the same inconvenient feeling I had. Thanks  again sluckey!

Ive got one that i bought this month sitting in a AB763 one channel build right now. When its up and running ill let you know that if it works alright.

I think itll be fine based on your measurements.
