get the photoshop app and resize it.

If shooting with your phone install this free app, or one like it:
https://www.image-size.com/
By default newer iPhones create huge photo files - 4032x3024, or, about 3MB.
You can set the app to reduce the files to 800x600 which is big enough for forum posts.

I believe photoshop costs some serious coin? You could email it to your computer and resize. Here are some references to native apps on Mac and PC. Jpeg format usually allows for greater compression and smaller file sizes.
For Mac. Use Preview

For PC/Windows.

Colas, what is the answer?
Guys like me who are not phone savvy need to know. And, it is a common question around here.

Ciao Colas
There is an alternative for large fhoto that didn't give a good result if shrinked
Upload it at an image host and share only the link using the image tag (Mona Lisa small icon under the Bolt icon when you are posting a message)
I use IMGUR (https://imgur.com (https://imgur.com)), it is free, don't require registration and they didn't cancel uploaded images after a certain time
and more, if you re-edit your post you can decide how large the linked image is shown
here an example

This way large image can be shown (if you want to have the original size you only must save a copy on your PC of an image you see in a post that uses a link like I say) and no weight on the forum server
Franco
p.s.: If the image is important and you want it to be available "forever", in the same post add a shrinked version on the forum server
