Title: Covering an amp or speaker with real leather not tolex question

Just wondering if anybody has done this ?
Maybe using leather from an unwanted donor settee. After all tolex is just faux leather.
Not sure whether the wrap around radius corner mitres would be a problem.

I personally have not seen it done with an amp, but custom car interiors get this sort of treatment all the time. 

With no experience, it would be be difficult to do well -- I think.

I have already covered several cabinets with tolex and faux leather.

I don't see why it wouldn't work with real leather.
