I'm attempting to build RRS BLACKVIBE 6V6.I BELIEVE their is an error in the power supply. Why would the positive of C1 filter cap connect to Negative of C2 filter cap? Is this a voltage doubler arrangement? Thy

Who knows? It's possible Mr Robinette's schematic has an error on it. I had to google 'RRS Blackvide 6V6', and there are a few images that come up. If we had a copy of the schematic, we could assess the situation.

Nothing wrong with that. The caps are in series which increases the voltage rating.

The PT and rectifier make 465V (more at start-up). Electrolytic caps only go to 450V before they get unreliable or real expensive. A LOT of tube amps start from a series-stack to get past 450V safely.
