I seem to recall Classic Tone’s closing down message citing supply chain issues. And I don’t envisage they bought their lams etc anywhere different to Edcor.

There are two American suppliers of EI scrapless laminates, and lots of Asian suppliers of EI laminates. Suppliers from Asia are delayed if not impossible with the pandemic and the US factories have had to socially distance their workers too, by reducing their work force and installing Plexi Glass barriers. This whole mess is slowing EVERYTHING down to a crawl. Whether it's transformers, or nuts and bolts, jelly bean passive electronic parts, or even basic unpopular handgun parts, everything has slowed down to a crawl. Figure 6-8 Weeks BEFORE it ships, from Edcor. I am going on 14 weeks waiting for a Tyler T grip for an antique revolver. It will eventually show up, and it will look really cool. That's about all those things do is make the old small grip 1950s revolvers feel a lot better in the hand and they look really really cool. Am I happy about it? NOPE! All I can do it wait. Same with Edcor. I am waiting on a couple of PTs. I have the Bassman OPT and a Soldono ripoff Epiphone OPT that is a tad smaller that the Bassman OPT, but no PTs, so I will wait, and wait, and when they finally do show up I'll be ready for them.

Took 3 months for my recent Edcor order to arrive—ordered mid November, received mid February.

How long is a piece of string?

3-4 months for my last order from them, but they let you know that right up front, so you have to plan way ahead. Okay to deal with.

Do you know why the airplane charges a checked-bag fee?  Because your luggage is competing with FedEx, UPS and DHL for space in the cargo hold.

With passenger flights rocked by slow demand due to COVID & travel restrictions, a significant chunk of air freight capacity is gone.  That delays your order before it's made (vendor's supply chain) and again on it's way to you.  And that's before the many ways a pandemic can destroy a company's productivity.

I love the aesthetics of Edcor transformers and they have good reputation.  I've been wanting to order for a while, but every time I start a new build, I'm put off by that long wait.   I wish my ADD brain would plan ahead and order for the future, but I just want instant gratification.   :cussing: Amazon

Haha.  Ditto.   That's what happens, darn boredom and impulse control.  I say I should build a fresh PP amp from all new parts, then I see goodwill has a SE reel to reel for 30 bucks that I can make a project out of.   I have yet to make a 100% new build.   But i'm close. I bought my first new OT last week that was specifically for a new build... again not Edcor because I didn't want to wait (but I'm still weeks or months away from starting :BangHead:).
