My take on Sluckey's amp cradle.

Looks good! I put 2 EMT couplers on my pipes to make it easy to extend for wider chassis. Haven't needed them so far.

oh, good idea.

I've got two builds going at the moment, a Sluckey revibe  :occasion14: and a PR.   The PR is a custom steel chassis done at a local CNC shop for a deluxe 20 years ago or so.   It's a beast compared to the Hammond aluminum I've got the revibe in.  I've switched back between them a couple times and it's just fantastic.   The PTs make these so unstable on a bench, the cradle removes that entirely.

Might use a couple of those as stops on one side or the other.   
I drilled through both ends for the emt and put the feet on to accommodate a vertical desk I use for building.  Got the threaded knobs on amazon, use m6 for everything.

Now that's a good idea! If you need to cradle a wider just easily remove the two pipes and replace with longer pipes. Less fuss than fooling with the couplers. I may just modify mine if I ever work on a wider chassis.

Hey Willabe,
   On Sluckey's original design (see here - http://sluckeyamps.com/cradle/cradle.htm (http://sluckeyamps.com/cradle/cradle.htm), he drills through the right side, but just drilled the left to set the emt in place.  I used a kreg jig to attach the feet (pocket hole jig).

   I drilled through both uprights for the emt.   you can see on the emt goes through both uprights in this pic, I put some m6 threaded inserts in the front and back to fix it in place.

Since we are showing off our cradles... I originally built mine following Sluckey's design. For some reason the inserts and thumbscrews were not very stable and would not hold the EMT tightly. The cradle would rock (have you seen junior's grades?) back and forth. I had some left-over all-thread from an old TV stand I made that was 24 inches long. I repurposed them and used the hex nuts, washers and gaskets to hold the ends. Now, my cradle is super stable.

My amp cradle.
Very easy( and cheap)  to built and fast to set to any chassis size.
