Hi All, A business associate is a sometime player and owns a DRRI -- knows nothing about it. Evidently it loses all or almost all power after it has been on a few minutes. It is hard to tell without seeing it but I was hoping someone here might have seen this problem with this or other Fender reissues. He probably hasn't played it enough to have worn-out the original tubes. At first I just told him to buy another set of power tubes but I've heard of cold/weak solder joints and screen resistors burning on these products too. Are there any known design weaknesses that jump to mind? He is only around every quarter and will bring it back in the summer but I thought I'd shake the tree and see what came down. Thanks, Skip

Like you said, it's hard to tell without seeing it. My crystal ball is just as cloudy as yours. Check back in the summer.

After a week of letting it sit I'll suggest he open it up and take a couple pictures. Fried resistors might show as brown marks on the board. And, of course, I suggested he get another amp so his won't get lonely. sh
