Hey folks,
I am elbows deep in my first build, a single-ended 10 watter, and ran up on a question for y'all. Aside from the obvious reason that it would make later conversion from SS rectification to tube more difficult, is there any good reason for not using the 5vac from the TX to run my 6.3vac indicator lights? I did a preliminary and they are plenty bright enough for me at 5v.
Thanks!

Lots of people do that.

Thanks, man! I dug through hundreds of old schematics and searched a bit before asking but couldn't find anything. I couldn't think of a good reason but figured there are no stupid questions :icon_biggrin:

I would not use that 5v winding to supply a rectifier tube AND the bulb. No harm to the bulb but you may get a nasty surprise when changing that bulb.
