Title: What is this
Post by: Legless Bluesman on May 20, 2021, 05:09:25 pm
Hi there, I'm brand new to the forum. I'm just starting out in the amp builders world and I came upon this nicely built unit. But I'm not sure what it is so I thought I would ask the experts. Thank you

Looks like a homemade rack unit for who knows what.

It has 7 pin preamp tube sockets. I hooked a hammond ao-14  power and output transformer to it the tubes warmed up the light in front came on but no noise not even a nasty dog killing squeal.

I'd like to turn it into something simple like a early fender design while retaining the nice craftsmanship.

it's well laid out, so start sketching a schematic, without that, the PT and OT data, it's sorta just a wall hanger

How do I start a schematic. I tried to figure out where everything is going with a continuity test but once the signal goes into the  buttplug circuit board I lose track of where everything goes. Is there any information on the web about building up schematic? Thanks for your help.

Please tell us what you connected those transformers to. Be specific.
