Where would one add bias tremolo to Rob's Blackvibe? I've built several amps and grasp basics but this is head scratching for me. I want to keep the very functional balance pot so I'm confused about where to put the intensity pot. The essential bias circuit is similar to the Weber and Mojotone 6G16 Vibroverb's. One idea is adding the balance pot after the intensity pot on the 6G16 type circuit (and if so, what values?). Another idea, using the Blackvibe layout, is placing the intensity pot before the balance pot; pin 1 attaching to the dropping resistor coming from the tranny, pin 3 to the tremolo voltage and pin 2 going to the balance pot. Many thanks in advance for your help.

That looks like a lot of experimenting to "maybe" get it right. May I offer an alternative that is stronger and sounds better than the bias vary trem and doesn't have the tremolo/bias interaction issues of the 6G16 circuit?
The Trem-O-Nator (http://sluckeyamps.com/trem/trem.htm) easily connects into the signal path just before the LTP-PI.

Thanks Slucky, I appreciate the input. But that's the easy route and won't learn as much. Conceptually, it's a straight forward idea and so there must be a way to decide how to arrange the circuit and then make decisions on resistor and pot values. We might start with the Blackvibe....how did Rob decide on pot and resistor values?

Good question for Rob. In fact, he may be able to answer all your questions. He's a member here. Send him a personal message. Forum name is robrob and he was on the forum just a few days ago.
