Title: RIP Cheyenne 2009-2021
Post by: EL34 on July 04, 2021, 06:48:57 am
Very sad news.

Cheyenne has been suffering from kidney disease for several months
He would have several good days and then he would go down hard.
Then he would bounce back to almost normal and be well enough to do some things, like go for a walk.

Cheyenne went down hard Friday night
He was suffering badly and was not recovering as of Saturday morning.
I had a vet come to the house Saturday and put him to sleep

I buried him here on my property
He was a very good dog and I will miss him
RIP Cheyenne - 2009-2021

I've had a lot of Dogs over the years and everytime one passes, They tear out a piece of my heart, which is very painful ; fortunately they always replace it with a piece of their own heart....I almost have a Dog heart now. My condolences for your loss of Cheyenne .

Dogs weasel their way into our hearts, and it hurts when they pass.   From the picture and his eyes, that was one loyal dog.

My mom, not ever known for being sensitive, always said:  "there is always another cat."   And while you could try to apply that to dogs, it doesn't work that way.  They are so individual.

I'm sorry for your loss.

It's very hard to lose a good friend. I feel your pain. I just lost my Molly a couple months ago. I still walk around the backyard with a lump in my throat. And I catch myself talking to her almost every day.

Doug,

I'm sad for you!  Super super hard thing to go thru.  Dogs seems to be the world's best in giving unconditional love and make incredible companions.  So, when we lose one, there's a big hole in our heart.  Dogs seem to have an incredible sense of where their owners are emotionally.  It's remarkable.  If people were as kind as a good dog is to their owners, the world would be a much happier and more peaceful place.

I'm still grieving the loss of my last dog and that was a long time ago.  I don't anticipate that I'll ever be completely over it.

Peace and best wishes to you,  Jeff

Doug I’m very sorry - there’s never a good time to lose a 4-footed friend.  Cheyenne looks like he was a noble beast RIP.
