Title: Komet Concorde Clone : mod it to like pedals?
Post by: Chris o on August 30, 2021, 02:54:09 pm
Hello .
I am a long time lurker here.
I have a question that may be offensive to people. ha ha.
I have inherited  what i am told is a 50 watt Komet concorde Clone.
(I cant seem to find a schematic anywhere )
The amp is built very well point to point solder joints look beautiful.
It is a wonderful amp with clean sounds great for days.
However it really isn't working for me.
I like all my dirt from a big muff and the muff doesnt work well with this amp. in fact no pedals do... a reverb pedal just disappears.
I know this is an amp built to not use pedals.
But can it be made to love a op amp big muff ?
I would sell it but my friend gave it to me to play because he knew i was looking for  a high quality amp.
And ii cant see myself being able to afford an amp of this quality anytime soon.
So it would be a bummer for him just to see me get rid of it.
So i would like to make it work and use it.
It would make us both very happy.

I have done only  basic amp work in the past . (switched out some capacitors, screen grid resistors, installed a bias pot and biased new tube sets.
But i  am a guitar tech and can solder well.
thank you all in advance.
