Title: Need a power transformer for a Champ
Post by: Rickinbeachcrest on September 01, 2021, 05:57:15 pm
I'm in the process of gathering parts for the build of a Hoffman Champ.  I see that Doug recommends the Mojo 759 with a high voltage of 290 for the power trans.  Mojo is out of stock on these trans, so I've been looking else where.

The closest I have found is 325 v.

Would this trans from Amp Parts Direct work?

Thanks.

Hammond 290AX would be my choice. Available from AES...

^^^What Sluckey said! ^^^

I just built a Princeton with a 290ax, last year. They can possibly be found for less at Hawk Electronics. 290ax has two HT options as well, high and low voltage
