what do you use and do you like it?
i have an old copy of circuitmaker 6 pro and traxmaker 3.0 pro... i have problems editing new part symbols in circuitmaker under XP. the app. is no longer supported, and the publisher was bought by intuit - they want big $$$ for their app... :(
thinking about eagle CAD or vutrax...
any input is greatly appreciated... :)

Look two more boards down from this board.
PC express

I have tried a few inexpensive ones. The big thing was they needed to make large boards. Ended up using Novarm DipTrace. Why? Double sided, traces move with pads. Can be free if you have less than 100 pads. Supports very large boards. Exports to all the typical stuff.

Sadly almost nothing for Mac's.
I rarely ever get my homebrew twin AMD
processor PC on line.

Here's my favorite and it speaks fluent Mac:

How do you like KiCad? I just started and I like what I see, I am redoing a design that was started in PCB Express. I like the 3D.

richard, (butterylicious) and i have been using it for a short while now, we like it, but it is tedious (as all are), the schematic capture has some drawing editing quirks, but otherwise, for a 0$ application it gets a 9 on a 1-10 scale.

Kicad is great! It already has most tube type symbols out of the box. :headbang:
