Hello all,

After visiting this forum countless times and enjoying excellent council on many topics, I've decided to take the deeper dive. Not, by any means, to provide sage advice myself. I consider the fact that I'm still learning everyday and my affair with tube amps is no exception. However, I will strive to serve this community by sharing what knowledge I do poses on the topic.

My background in electronics grew out my interest in amateur radio (off and on), a life long pursuit of the brass "Rock-n-Roll" ring and the thrill of being on stage. I started off repairing guitars and basses, repairing tube based test gear and tinkering with radios. Of course, this led to tinkering with my own tube amplifiers and the never ending quest for the "right" tone.

During the summer of 2019 the main cats in my area doing tube amp repair decided to retire. Realizing the opportunity I took the plunge, taking what was just Fraunkensteen Guitars, to Fraunkensteen Guitars and Amplification in March 2020.

Yup, I pay taxes and by no means am I getting rich. I'm not fishing for business (I have plenty) and have enough friends already. At this time, on the bench is a 1953 Gibson GA-40 with a tremolo that has me bloodied and on the ropes.... :BangHead:

Thanks for letting me on board,

Jeff

Welcome to the Hoffman Amps forum

There are many different boards on this forum for different topics.

The Tube Amp Building - Tweaks - Repairs board is where you can post amp questions.

That board is listed here.
