I'm all of a sudden getting messages on chrome when I visit the site that the connection is not secure and that the website certificate has expired.
Is anyone else getting this message?
-
My chrome says the site is secure and the certificate is valid.

@slucky
My work PC says it's secure too, no issues.
My mac at home is now having this problem just since yesterday. Just double checking.
I'm researching a fix. I've already found a workaround so I don't hit this blocked page when I log in. Thanks for confirming it's just my computer.
SMH, bad luck over here or something this week lol.

Earlier today Safari also reported that the certificate had expired, but my dog had to go out and I did not investigate further.
Now, many hours later, I don't get the same message and the certificate is valid. So maybe someone at the hosting service has updated the cert?
All good now in any event.

fwiwExplorer via Duckduckgo will go unsecure when i click into a daughter board, but not always and not always the same board. been like that for awhile. happens on another forum also. I just ignore.

I am not getting any issues here, but I'll have my web host check it out.
-
Intermittently happening here as well on both pc and phone, but only with chrome.

My web host found the problem
All should be good now
Let me know if there are any other issues
Hello,
My name is Bryon and I am the Windows technician that has picked up your ticket.
el34world.com needed to be reissued due to the following error.
One of the root or intermediate certificates has expired (2 days ago).
The SSL for hoffmanamps.com was correct according to SSLshopper.com so no action was needed.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with and I will be happy to help.
Thank you,

Yes, that seems to be the basic response, as explained in great detail here:
https://docs.certifytheweb.com/docs/kb/kb-202109-letsencrypt/
R3, Let’s Encrypt, the popular security certificate source, changed their chain. Some browsers or OSes did not handle this well (it hardly ever happens).

"the root certificate used by Let’s Encrypt to sign client certificates will lose its validity on this day.... Clients that only know the old root certificates will not be able to verify Let’s Encrypt server certificates after that."

"From Sept 30th 2021 Let's Encrypts previous root certificate DST Root CA X3 (and it's R3 intermediate) will expire. It has been replaced by their ISRG Root X1 certificate (and replacement R3 intermediate)."

"This expiration should be invisible to software, services, and users relying on the certificates for encryption, ..., however not all systems appear to have handled the expiry well."
