I need a blank JTM 45 aluminum chassis. It needs to fit in a mojotone head shell. Also needs to be able to support BIG iron. I'm thinking of building one out of a Heathkit W-M5 (I have five of them, two are good for nothing but parts, the other three are being left as hi Fi amps so don't worry😉). But the iron is heavy, I'm sure it's heavier than standard jtm iron.
Thanks.

Terry does beautiful work, very accurate. Surprisingly inexpensive, IMO.

That's who I was looking for. Thank you.

The chassis at the bottom of the page should work.

I envy you USA guys for your easy access to the most parts of amps, but 2 things are way cheaper here in Europe:
- Used Celestion speakers
- chassis blanks: https://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/tt-chassis-alu-typ-001-standard-430-x-170-x-65.html
And that's with the raised prices. Last year I bought them for 15€!!!

US made chassis often seem higher quality though, eg higher grade metal, welded corners.
Are the corners of those TT chassis braced somehow, welded, rivited?
I really like the chassis from Modulus, but it’s a PIA having to fit angle strip to brace the corners.

oops disregard that one was steel

That's exactly where I bought my blank JTM chassis! Great quality, very rigid, and free shipping!

Ouch! 😉 that's discriminating 😀😀
You're right though about them not being welded at the corners. I don't mind ...
BUT.. lower quality material than US products? I think we can all agree that German made stuff is at least as good. The highest European standards are expressed in DIN (Deutsche Industrie Norm).. think Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz...

Look at the blank chassis here to see if it is the right size
