Title: ac in proximity to octal power tube
Post by: joesatch on October 13, 2021, 06:55:49 pm
Carling switch is pretty close to the first PT. Will this cause any issues or noise?

Hi Joe
I think you'll get away with it . Personally I prefer to put the Mains AC switch and wiring right towards the end/corners BUT Leo did it in 1966 and Fender are currently doing it. Just make sure its neat and cable tied, tucked out of the way of Tube wiring.
PRR and others would remind us that the audio signal level is tens (hundreds) of volts, so very little chance of corruption, unlike the area of input socket and tubes.
Kind regards
Mirek
