Title: Transfo line out
Post by: Colas LeGrippa on October 21, 2021, 09:18:24 pm
Hi my friends,

I had for years a hi end board isolating audio transformer from Hammond, model 304, laying around in the bunch of parts , old resistors without legs, capacitors out of service and miles of cables from all colors and sizes laying on my work bench. Today I had enough to move it from side to side trying to make some room to move ( remember the song "room to move ? )
Anyway, to make a long and messy story short ( and clean ), and after months being unsatisfied with my home brewed line out device made of noisy resistors, I decided to make me a new line out with that transformer. First,it's so easy, it' s stupid !!!! Second, the tone is so transparent and so dead quiet it is a pleasure playing my guitar through my two heads. I send my Lil' Gripper (10 w )to a clean amp  and I can get 50W of pure crunchy happiness without hum, buzz , hiss .
Only pure tone feedback. I should have tried it before. Jensen sells transformers and you can find a lot of schematics on their website including tube amps linenout schem.
