Title: "Type 3" PPIMV mod. Is this correct?

Have you been reading this thread? It talks about that Type 3 MV. Most guys do not like it.

Stop wasting your time on that type 3 MV. Add a LarMar and call it a day. You won't look back. It's the best PPIMV design out there...
AND.. since your amp is cathode biased, did you ever consider a VVR ? It's pretty easy to install on a Cathode biased amp. BTW, you switched the naming on the cathode resistor and cap.

I can also add that I’ve found that type of ”cross-line” master almost useless. At least if you intend to reduce volume by more than a few decibels.
