Title: Greeting from Austria
Post by: schwarzerkaffee on December 17, 2021, 07:46:09 am
Hi fellow amp enthusiasts,

my Name is Klaus and I live in the Austrian alps. I am an mathematician, I am married (to a mathematician :-) ) and have three kids. I play guitar since I am 12 years old and bought a 1959 SLP RI with the money of my first summer job in 1994. Still play the amp and got interested in building and repairing stuff recently. I build a telecaster from scratch in the Corona isolation and embarked on the analogue audio electronics recently. After changing and biasing the output tubes in my Plexi a lot of questions and ideas emerged - and that's why I am here.

Other gear: VOC AC30/6TB 1993 (Korg era - with Alnico blues) and Hiwatt DR 103 (1975) with 4x122 Cab W/Fanes (1978).

Welcome to the Hoffman Amps forum

There are many different boards on this forum for different topics.

The Tube Amp Building - Tweaks - Repairs board is where you can post amp questions.

That board is listed here.
https://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?board=13.0

Thanks,
Doug Hoffman

Welcome schwarzerKaffee.
Don't spoil your coffee with that whipped cream stuff
(It was a surprise when I had my first coffee in Vienna, possibly "Kapuziner" with sachertorte)
Interesting amp the Hiwatt DR105. Is it original?
Anyway, enjoy your black coffee with your tube amp projects.
Kind Regards
Mirek

Hallo & Welcome!

My daughter has friends in Wien & Lilienfeld. We visited both in 2019 & of course rode the ÖBB Cityjet.
