Title: Single channel 6G4/6G5 Build
Post by: Esquirefreak on December 28, 2021, 02:02:30 am
Happy holidays and so on, to you all!

I have an old AA165 Bassman cabinet that I want to make something out of...

Since my 6G4 clone turned out really great, I thought I'd build another one. Though, this time it will be a bright channel only and SS rectified. Kinda like a 6G5 but with a 6k/40w OT (6G4) and Hammond 290EEX PT (blackface Bassman).

I have yet to find the time to re-draw the schematic, due to holidays and a lot of customer repairs and services. So all I have right now is a modified layout.

Could the wizards on this forum give me a second opinion on whether I got the single channel conversion right or wrong?

Also, might I need to change the 4k7 -> 56k dropping resistors for that part of the amp?

Best regards from Sweden,
Max
