Title: How do I add a preamp in to my Silver face Deluxe reverb?
Post by: jamme61 on January 01, 2022, 04:59:06 pm
I like to be able to run a Helix or Fractal into my DR by using only the power amp section. I like to not cut any holes and be able to revert the amp back to stk. Could i use one of the jacks on the normal channel and just run a shielded cable to where the two channels meet after the preamp section (the 220k Mixing resistors? ) is it that easy or do i need to do something else? Thanks for any help on this.

Your thread title says Silverface Deluxe Reverb.  Your layout shows a Mojotone clone.   Which is it?

If it's not an original Fender, why not put in a passive FX loop before the LTPI which would involve drilling a couple of holes.  You'd just the return jack of the passive FX loop.  That way you'd still have both normal and vibrato channels.

And yes, you could use the normal jack & shielded wiring and bypass the normal channel into where both channels come back together just prior to the LTPI.
