Hey guys,
I completed a PP 6aq5 build recently in which I substituted
1. A mosfet (IRF820) for the tube driven buffer in the output tube bias vary tremolo circuit.
2. A mosfet (IRF820) as a cathode follower after a 5879 OD stage, ala "tubenit".
This was my first time using s/s to substitute tube stages, and am very happy with the results. Especially the fact that it frees up a triode.
Then stumbling upon 2deaf's LND150 tremolo circuit, it got me thinking of subbing some of these ideas into the Fender 6G-A tremolo circuit.
I have drawn up a draft of the circuit with the LND150's subbing for the oscillator and buffer triodes, along with a few modification's like a fast/slow switch and harmonic/bias switch.
-Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
