The plastic lead benders that Doug sells work great for some bends for resistor leads, but this is a cool idea for making bends for terminal strips the way Valco and others did their circuits. But what really made me chuckle was "dime stores." Now they are Dollar Stores.

around here they were called the "5 & dime stores"  As I'm typing I started chuckling thinking "they were Nickle and diming me to death!"

I have been using these for 30 years.

The plastic wedges are great for standard parts and bends.

The dime-store brads on a board also allow you to mark for trimming. If things get strange and you want 3 or 4 bends, you can do that.

The idea was extended to entire aircraft wiring harnesses. Make one on a prototype plane, take it out to the shed, brad it on a board. Now a worker or three can be assembling complete harnesses on a bench or wall rather than working around riveters and painters inside the plane out in the assembly hanger.

Likewise if you want to make several amplifiers 99% the same, a jig may get the work done quicker.

.....then I get a call, hey, the pigtail showed up
12hours later after tracing out 2 swapped wires and a mis-labeled connector  :BangHead:

when GE "refined" the install process, Instead of me, some books and 6 weeks, they went to Physical installers, 3-5days
cablers 3-5 days, Field engineer 2 weeks.  after 2 years of "learnin" it was a better system
