Title: Filter cans and Hammond AO-43 chassis

The original Hammond Organ AO-43 chassis has a cap can down by the preamp side. Converting this chassis to say a AA763 Deluxe would there be an issue using the same can hole near the preamp for nodes 2 and 3, running the ground to PT star and nodes to choke or power resistors near the star ground next to PT?
I had been drilling the second cap can hole next to the existing one on the AO-43 chassis for Node's B and C, pre-amp filter on the bd near the preamp. Seems like extra non-necessary work to drill the hole when there is one at the other end of the chassis? 
Edit: What’s up the best path to run the HT to the other end of chassis?

I can't think of a reason to not use that location. I would try to keep signal wires away from the HT lines, so where you run it depends on where you run the other wires.

My next project will be an A0-43 conversion, most likely the same Deluxe Reverb circuit.  Please check back in here and let us know how your project turns out.  I would be grateful for any heads-up as to possible pitfalls and/or opportunities.   :worthy1:

Search this forum for "AO-43" by member "Toxophilite". Lot's of info about converting AO-43 to AB763.

Here's the link, if you're building anything with that chassis, post your build. I have converted several Fender and Marshall type layouts in that narrow chassis. I ran into several issues with that chassis and might be able to save you some headaches.  :laugh:  The biggest problem is designing the board to fit that 6" chassis. In my first attempt, I couldn't replaced the pots, no room to get pots out but now I got that down.
Using that preamp side can hole would open up a lot of space.
Yes Sluckey's Deluxe Lite is one of my favorite amps, it was another conversion in a Crate Vintage 20, 10" speaker. No reverb, B+ is low around 350v but sweetest clean, diode rectifier.
