Title: Irresponsible Advertising?
Post by: Rontone on March 17, 2022, 12:38:50 pm
Check out this banner that keeps coming up on eBay, the link goes to some kind of scam advert for a device that somehow saves you power by plugging in the socket and running your devices through it?

But mainly the picture suggests you simply stick a nail into the mains wall socket with a pair of pliers..... nice and healthy

So all I gotta do to get cheaper kilowatts is to stick a nail into an outlet with some pliers?  Awesome, I'll do it!   Thanks, eBay!   :l2:

My hobby, or one of them, is building amps. My business is energy efficiency engineering. The friggin' scam ads suckering people into thinking there is some magic trick to cut your electric bill by 90% are criminal. Why do we even have an FTC if they let this stuff go? I been scratching my head since Government class in 11th grade, why adults need to appoint someone else tell them whether the chicken coup is acceptable.  The year before I was taught about Darwinism and thought, "well that will solve most problems", then the Darwin awards showed up a proved the axiom, done!  Proper Government over - sight  :icon_biggrin:
