Title: Electrolytic Capacitor Value
Post by: plexi50 on June 08, 2022, 06:02:19 pm
Hey all! I am recapping a 1974 Sunn Model A 212 amp and found this Odd numbering system on a particular cap. The schematic say's it is a 2.2 uf polarized electrolytic cap. I can't figure it out other than it may be rated at 50 volts. How do you decipher this one?

Those numbers don't help. Just go with the schematic. Would that cap be C111, or C204, or C205? If so, 2.2µF/50V looks correct.

It is C221. It spells it out as 2.2uf 25 volt polarized. It's a good thing there is a schematic for this amp. Thanks Steve! Hope all is well.
