The build is finally completed.
Had lack of space in the chassis so instead of the three 6SQ7 tubes in the preamp section I used a 6SC7 so I could get rid of a tube socket. Also used a 6SN7 PI instead of the 6N7 in the original circuit. No field coil so took a PT with lower voltage and used resistors an a choke for the preamp section. Plate voltages of the 6L6’s 283V so in the ballpark of the original one.
Reverb driver a LNDVerb with mosfets. Short tank.

Cool - how do you like the sound? I like the sound of 6L6s at that 300V +/-. I built the other version of the EH-185 - the one with a gaggle of 6SJ7s with some help here figuring out the strange inductor bass control. Need to change that as there is a reason other amps do not use an inductor there. I've also been thinking of converting it to the 6SQ7 version - no particular reason.

Thats a cool build! ive got a question about the LNDverb kit. how did you insert it into the amp? im building a 5f2a ish build and want to use that kit but im not sure where to put it exactly for it to affect the dry tone as less as possible but still getting a good reverb. i would be thankful of any help at all.
