Title: Balance/mixer knob for channel mixing
Post by: Esquirefreak on August 17, 2022, 06:20:15 am
Had this idea of replacing the channel mixing resistors (like the Fender AB763 for instance) with a balance/mixer knob. Possibly even a "notched" pot like those used as a balance control in hifi amps.

Would this work in practice or just in theory?

What's the goal?

Not sure there's any paritcular goal, tbh. And now that I think about it, since the channels each have a volume pot, this is probably overkill. I tend to over-complicate stuff.

Any amp or console maker knows: More knobs = better = higher price.
