the pic showed up in my feed, my "guess" was < a single resistor
can't play with HighVolts so I found this;

ELECTRONICS (https://worldradiohistory.com/Electronics%20_Master_Page.htm) magazine started puzzles in October 1950, in the BACKTALK section, typically near pg 132.

Note that by by December they were already "Red Face" about incorrect answers, so this could be a never-ending time-sink (not counting the other bizarre tidbits you find).
