Title: Low Watt High Gain Project Question
Post by: imgumby001 on October 20, 2022, 12:42:09 pm
Hi all!! I have a small enclosure that I want to use for a low watt(3-5) high gain project. I’m wondering if I can take a high gain preamp like the one attached and graft it onto a power amp section like the one in a champ(or any SE power section regardless of specific tube.)?

IF it doesn't have to be single ended and you're looking for something more in the 7-9 watt  6BM8   OR   4-5 watt  ECL84,  you might be interested in looking at these ideas using pentode/triode tubes?

With respect, Tubenit

That probably was inspired by the Ax84 SEL circuit. That schematic would be worth looking at if you go single ended.  If you go that route I’d also highly recommend a conjunctive filter on the OT primary.
