Looking for ideas for a Bassman 10 speaker replacement of all 4. This is a ported front firing enclosure combo cabinet 4 x 10, it has 5 port holes on the front baffle. Amp to be used for light jazz, blues rock bass and guitar. Probably going to wire them 8 ohm total.. two 8 ohm speakers in series then in parallel for 8 ohm total - unless that isn't a good idea. Thoughts welcome on that too.
Some that came to mind were 25W Weber 12F150s, maybe 2 of those along with 2 Weber 10" alnicos. Some Jensen models.
It might come down to what is avaliable. The speakers should be around 25w.
Let me hear your ideas.. cost not consideration.

Never thought about this before but I would consider installing one set of 2 more bass-centric and the other 2 more fendery-centric and then switching on the rear so when you play bass it's one way and vice-versa.
I like mixing speakers anyway, so I actually would actually consider this over 4 of the same.
For the Fendery ones I would look at the Jensen P10R-F Jensen P10R-F 25W 10" Guitar Speaker - StewMac (https://www.stewmac.com/electronics/amps/speakers/jensen-p10r-f-25w-10-guitar-speaker/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=2022-10-gp&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI36C36Zv8-gIVGInICh3vkwp6EAQYASABEgJFRvD_BwE)

Interesting SG I was thinking of a mix myself. It never occurred to me to put in bass speakers and guitar speakers for 2 2x10s in the same cabinet. I don't think that's a great idea unless the cabinet could be devided into two separate enclosures. The non operating speakers would suck the sound wave off of the operating ones in a 4x10 cab. dampen them.
But the mix is interesting and probably a good way to go. Thanks :icon_biggrin:
