I picked up 2 pairs of matched Mullards(ecl82) early 60's if I recall. They have some green corrosion on the pins not too bad what is the safest way to clean them? Also grabbed NOS 12at7's and others I recognized He has a lot left but mostly used oddball (to me) tubes

I use one of the pin straightener tools and some Deoxit. A few passes in and out of the straightener usually does it. I've seen YouTube vids using a Dremel with wire brush - seems crazy to me. I also keep some 220 grit sandpaper nearby for such things.
I'm curious what you are using them in. I have a Gibson GA-8T and a Little Wing Mini Bassman - both are sweet amps.

"I'm curious what you are using them in." I have an old Conrad (Japan) stereo amp that uses them. I think my ga-5t
has one also, I would have to look again.Typewriter eraser.
Sorry!
:dontknow: All I have is white-out

typewriter eraser! good idea.
Yes I think the 5T has that tube. I've often thought of building one of those. Like it?

I use a Green 3M Scotch Brite heavy duty scourer kitchen pot cleaner pad,
nice & easy slowly carefully drag thru the gap between pins on 9 pin tubes .
Has always worked successfully for me really well.
