Does anybody have a 5W they really like? I tried to search but it gets every post that says "five" or "watts".
Robs Micro Bassman looks like a maybe. thanks for suggestions

I really like my 5F1 champ but it's a one trick pony and truth is I rarely play it due to the nature of it's trick and the fact that in it's sweet spot it's loud and gets the turn that down please from the lady of the house. The Valve Jr was fun and a mod machine for a long time and now it's turned into a power amp only for my preamp projects.
With these things speakers play as much a role too.
This is a bit like asking if anybody has a type of Dijon mustard they really like. :icon_biggrin:

yep
My best liked was a 5F1-C2 sorta merge, played through a Marshall 4X12, heads turned, people noticed.
the key was NOT my amp but the guitarist. a good guitarist with a pedal set can make any amp sound great, a good amp and a bad guitarist, well it just yellow mustard, no Dijon :icon_biggrin:

The Bumble Bee was not my build so I am unable to answer those questions for you. Sorry!
However, if you look at the photos on that thread, you should be able to figure most of it out.

With Tubenit's help I built a version of the SoLow ECL84 with a tube rectifier. I like it a lot and should play it more often.
Thread is here https://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=28856 (https://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=28856) and includes some tips from Tubenit.
