Title: Artificial center tap for my 5e3 build
Post by: Ledvedder on October 27, 2022, 05:55:59 pm
My PT doesn't have a 6.3v heater center tap. Is it correct that I can just connect 2 100r resistors to the heater wires at the pilot light, then the other end of both 100r resistors to ground? Or to the tube side of the power tube cathode resistor for elevation?

best bet is to connect to power tube cathode. you can usually solder the resistors right to the socket pins, although if there's a short it makes the resistors difficult to replace
