Title: Question for Tubeswell - 6H3 Tone Control
Post by: kagliostro on December 16, 2022, 05:24:45 pm
Ciao Tubeswell

I recently posted a part of a schematic I've draw some years ago, on it there is a strange Tone control, my efforts to identify it ended remembering that I've seen that Tone Control on your 6H3 amp schematic

This is your Bone Ray Tone Control

and this is Merlin's Bone Ray Tone Control

But they are different, not exactly the same circuit, please can you explain how you developed it ?

I don't refer to the value of the components that isn't the same, I refer to the different connection of the 500pF cap that is connected to ground while in the Merlin schematic the correspondent capacitor (1n) is connected to the pin of the 1M pot

Many Thanks

Franco

Hi Franco, I remember the amp and the tone control with the mid shift did work but it wasn’t that spectacular. I’d try something else.
