Title: P2P Tweedle Dee - Placement Question
Post by: Thisismyname on January 09, 2023, 08:03:23 pm
Does the placement of the rectifier tube relative to the power transformer
here present any possible heat (or other) problems?

The chassis will be oriented this way in a head cab.

(My replies won't be until tomorrow afternoon)

Thanks

This was very common back in the '50s and '60s...

Ha! That ebay pic is great. Although I have not run into that, I have rebuilt several old PA amps and now a Filmosound amp with the rectifier tube right next to the PT. All worked fine - no heat issues.
