Title: The Benson Model 300H
Post by: Platefire on January 10, 2023, 03:06:09 pm
Not sure where to put this??? So your welcome to send it where you think in belongs. I thought is was interesting. Howard Roberts helped develop and produce this amp in the late 60's and actually came to fruition in the early 70's. It never caught on as a known brand but from what I've read about it, had some pretty good bones! I never knew they ever existed until today. So if your interested on reading the history, here is a linked article by Vintage Guitar.

Just wanted to say that the Benson 300H is not affiliated with the modern Benson amps at the link below. The older
Benson Amp Co. went out of business in 1974.

OK, that sounds interesting.   This the best looking schematic I could find (not so good):

Thanks! That seems to be the final version of the amp before they shut production down

I hadn't heard of either Benson.
Just came across the new Benson yesterday after seeing the amps on Austin City Limits on Saturday night. (Nathaniel Rateliff/band set)
